Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is going to build a cricket stadium in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Talks are going on between PCB and Saudi Arabia Cricket Federation. The Governing Board of PCB has approved the proposal.

Its objective is to promote cricket in Saudi Arabia. The right place for the stadium is being searched. It will have modern facilities like floodlights and seating for a large number of spectators. However, the final agreement is yet to be signed to start the project.

Pakistani board wants to hold PSL match in Jeddah

A large number of people from Pakistan and other South Asian countries live in Saudi Arabia. Keeping this in view, PCB wants to popularize cricket there. Once the stadium is ready, PSL matches can also be held in Saudi Arabia instead of Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The current season of PSL is being played in Lahore and Karachi. Its previous title was won by Lahore Qalandars.

Center of cricket in UAE Middle East

Till now UAE (Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah) has been the biggest center of international cricket in the Middle East. Pakistan has played its ‘home matches’ here for a long time.
