1. Pant did not take DRS, missed the opportunity of wicket Punjab’s Cooper Connolly escaped being LBW in the second over. Connolly tried to flick a full length ball from Mohsin Khan, but missed and the ball hit his pads. There was an appeal for LBW, but the field umpire declared it not out.

Pant did not take the review even after thinking a lot. Replays showed that the ball had hit the leg stump, if they had taken a review then the wicket would have been taken. Connolly took advantage of this and played an inning of 87 runs.

2. Markram bowled an over of 32 runs In the 13th over, Cooper Connolly hit 3 consecutive sixes against Aiden Markram. He hit sixes on the first, second and third balls. In the same over, Priyansh Arya hit two consecutive sixes on the last two balls. Markram scored 32 runs in this over.

Markram also became the bowler giving the most runs in an over for LSG. Before him in 2022, Ravi Bishnoi had spent 27 runs against RCB. This was the eliminator match of the playoff, which was played in Kolkata.

3. Priyansh-Connolly made the best partnership Priyansh Arya and Cooper Connolly made a partnership of 182 runs for the second wicket. This was the best partnership of this season. Earlier, Rohit Sharma and Ryan Rickelton of Mumbai Indians had made an opening partnership of 148 runs. Both of them had scored these runs against Kolkata.

Priyansh and Connolly together hit 16 sixes in their partnership. PBKS had a partnership of 150 plus runs for the third time in IPL history. Earlier, KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal had added 183 runs. Whereas in 2011, Adam Gilchrist and Shaun Marsh had made a partnership of 206 runs.

4. Punjab’s best score of the season Batting first, Punjab Kings scored 254 runs. This was the best score of the 19th IPL season. Earlier, Bengaluru had scored 250 runs against Chennai. RCB team has also scored 240 runs against Mumbai Indians. PBKS and RCB are currently the top-2 teams in the points table and both had played the final last season.

5. Lucknow changed the opening combination Lucknow Supergiants changed their opening combination. Ayush Badoni came to open the innings in place of Aiden Markram along with Mitchell Marsh. 6. Shashank Singh dropped the catch of Puran Nicholas Puran got a lease of life in the 14th over. The fifth ball of the over, Yuzvendra Chahal bowled a googly on good length. Puran played a big shot, but the ball stood in the air towards the long on boundary. Shashank came under the ball, but could not catch it. At the time of Jeevandan, Puran was on the score of 9 runs, he could not take advantage of it and became the victim of Marco Janson in the very next over.
