Punjab Kings defeated Mumbai Indians by 7 wickets in the 24th match of IPL 2026. Quinton de Kock overtook MS Dhoni in terms of most 50+ scores as a wicketkeeper at Wankhede Stadium.
On Thursday, De Kock became the second highest individual scorer for Mumbai by scoring 112 not out. Hardik Pandya returned to the pavilion after a diving catch by Punjab captain Shreyas Iyer.

Quinton de Kock completed his 25th 50+ score as a wicketkeeper in IPL. He reached second place in terms of highest Fifty+ score. KL Rahul (31) has the highest score of 50+ as a wicketkeeper, while he is followed by MS Dhoni (24), Dinesh Karthik (21).
2. De Kock is Mumbai’s second highest individual scorer.
Quinton de Kock made the second highest individual score in IPL for Mumbai Indians by scoring unbeaten 112 runs in this match. On top of this list is Sanath Jayasuriya (114)*, who played this innings in 2008. De Kock left Rohit Sharma behind and took second place.
3. De Kock’s 9th T-20 century
De Kock completed his ninth century in T-20 cricket. Chris Gayle (22) is on top in terms of most centuries. He is followed by Babar Azam (11) and David Warner (10).
This is the second century of a Mumbai batsman against Punjab Kings in IPL. Earlier, Lendl Simmons had scored unbeaten 100 runs in Mohali in 2014.
De Kock has joined those wicketkeeper batsmen who have scored centuries for three different IPL teams. The name of Quinton de Kock (DD, LSG, MI) has been added to this list along with KL Rahul (PBKS, LSG, DC) and Sanju Samson (DD, RR, CSK).
4. Prabhasimran made a record at the age of 25
Prabhsimran Singh has made the record of scoring the highest score of 50+ for Punjab Kings at the age of 25. He has scored 50 or more runs 10 times. In this case he left behind David Miller (9) and Shaun Marsh (6).

1. Arshdeep Singh’s 100 IPL wickets
In the third over, Arshdeep Singh completed his 100 wickets in IPL. He dismissed Ryan Rickelton on the first ball. Rickelton was caught by Shashank Singh on the leg side ball. Suryakumar Yadav was also out on the next ball. Chahal took the catch of Surya.
With this, Arshdeep joined the list of leading left-arm pacers who have taken 100 or more wickets in IPL. This list includes Trent Boult (144), Jaydev Unadkat (114), Ashish Nehra (106) and Zaheer Khan (102).
Arshdeep became the first bowler to take 100 wickets for Punjab Kings. Before him, Piyush Chawla (84) had the highest number of wickets for the team. Interestingly, this was his first wicket in the powerplay after 11 innings (21.1 overs) in the IPL. Even in T-20 cricket, this was his first wicket in the powerplay after the last 9 matches.
2. Naman Dheer’s catch was missed by Chahal.
Naman Dheer got life on the second ball of the fourth over. Marco Janson bowled a length ball outside the off stump, on which Dheer tried to play a scoop shot. The ball did not hit the bat properly and went in the air towards short fine leg.
There Yuzvendra Chahal had a chance for an easy catch, but he could not catch it and the ball slipped out of his hands. Chahal indicated that he could not see the ball because of the light.
Chahal gave life to Naman.
3. De Kock completed his century by hitting a four on the reverse shot
Quinton de Kock completed his century by hitting a four on the last ball of the 18th over. Xavier Bartlett bowled a low full toss outside the off stump, on which De Kock ducked and played a reverse lap shot. Using the speed of the ball, he took it past short third man to the boundary.
Quinton de Kock returned unbeaten after scoring 112 runs.
4. Hardik Pandya completes 150 sixes in IPL
Hardik Pandya completed his 150 sixes in IPL by hitting a six on the first ball of the 18th over. Hardik played a shot forward on Marco Janson’s back of length ball and the ball went beyond the boundary.
Captain Hardik was out after scoring 14 runs on 12 balls.

Hardik Pandya was out on the third ball of the 18th over. Yanson bowled a slow outside ball, on which Hardik went to play a big shot, but the ball hit the upper part of the bat and went in the air.
Shreyas Iyer made a brilliant effort while running in from long-on. He jumped near the boundary and took the catch, but lost his balance and threw the ball in the air, which was completed by Xavier Bartlett standing nearby.

6. Rutherford’s bat was broken by Yanson’s yorker.
Marco Yanson bowled a yorker to Rutherford in the last two balls of the 18th over. The ball came in and Rutherford could not play it properly. The ball hit the edge of the bat and went towards the short third man and during this his bat broke from the top.
Sherfane Rutherford was bowled after scoring one run.
7. Bumrah dropped the catch of Prabhasimran.
Prabhasimran Singh got a lease of life in the fourth over. Hardik Pandya bowled the first ball of the over with a short pitch outside the off stump. Prabhasimran played a cut shot, the ball went towards Jasprit Bumrah, but he could not catch it.
Bumrah gave life to Prabhasimran on 11 runs.
8. Shreyas’s fifty with fours
Shreyas Iyer also completed his fifty in the 15th over. He completed half century on 37 balls. Iyer hit a four on the fourth ball of Bumrah and completed his half-century.
Shreyas was out after scoring 66 runs on 35 balls.
