Gagret police has arrested 2 drug smugglers in Una district. The police have recovered the chitta from them. A case has been registered against both of them under relevant sections of the Narcotics Act and further investigation is underway. According to the information, the team of Gagret police station led by ASI Vipan Kumar had received the information. On the basis of which the team searched a scooter near Hotel Aroma located on Hoshiarpur Road, Gagret. During the search, 2.25 grams of chitta was recovered from the trunk of the scooter. The police, who were inquiring about the network, arrested scooty driver Manglesh Sharma, resident of Andora and the pillion rider Mohit Jaswal, resident of Amb Tilla, in this case. Both the accused were taken to the police station and rigorously interrogated. The police is thoroughly investigating whether the accused are connected to any big network and for how long have they been involved in this illegal business. Case registered against drug smugglers, Una SP Sachin Hiremath said in this regard that two youths have been arrested. A case has been registered against him under relevant sections of the NDPS Act at Gagret police station. Police is investigating the matter and further action will be taken after this.
