Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) called the candidates appearing in the Deputy Commandant exam for document verification but only 75 candidates turned up. In such a situation, now one more chance has been given. All 180 candidates have been called on 24th April.

More than 10 thousand applications were received for the recruitment for 4 posts of Deputy Commandant. Only retired, resigned former Army officers of Captain level or those released/discharged from Emergency and Short Service Commission were eligible. In this recruitment, a large number of candidates without qualifications had filled the forms. Later, he appeared in the exam even though he did not have the qualifications.

In such a situation, the Commission took such a decision to weed out those who are not eligible first. 255 candidates appeared in this examination. They were called between 15 and 20 April. Now the Commission has given another chance.

Candidates had to bring these documents

According to RPSC Secretary (IAS) Ramniwas Mehta – All the candidates appearing in the written examination had to download the counseling letter and detailed application form from the Commission’s website www.rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in.

After completing all the entries in the application form (in duplicate), receipt of online fee payment of Rs 50, along with relevant educational documents, self-attested copies of retired/resignation/NOC certificate from the post of Captain, PPO, caste, domicile and other documents and original documents were to be present in the Commission office.

Vacancy was given in March 2025

RPSC had released the advertisement for recruitment to 4 posts of Deputy Commandant in the Home Defense Department on 18 March 2025. For this, online applications were invited from 24 March to 22 April 2025.

In this, more than 10 thousand candidates applied, but after withdrawal, 4 thousand 221 candidates were left. Its written examination was held on 11 January 2026. 255 candidates participated in it.

Only retired, resigned former Army Captain level officers or candidates released/released from Emergency and Short Service Commission were eligible to apply for the vacancy.

Many candidates had filled the forms without qualification

Many candidates applied for this recruitment without any qualification. Many candidates were found ineligible during scrutiny of applications. They were also given a chance to withdraw the form.

The Commission warned of taking action under Section 217 of the Indian Justice Code-2023 if the form is not withdrawn. After this, about 6 thousand candidates withdrew the application forms.

After this the Commission called for document verification from 15 to 20 April.
