In Rampur of Shimla district, the police team on Tuesday arrested a drug smuggler with heroin near Bharakhar, Nirath. The police took this action during regular patrolling. According to the information, the police team was on patrol when they stopped a suspicious person for investigation. Upon search, heroin was recovered from his possession. The police took immediate action and arrested the accused on the spot. Heroin recovered from the accused. The arrested accused has been identified as Gurjeet Singh (24), son of Bagga Singh. He is a resident of Mahadev Colony, Post Office Surajpur, Raipur Siuri, Tehsil Kalka, District Panchkula (Haryana). 9.31 grams of heroin has been recovered from him. Police have registered case number 41/26 against the accused under Section 21 of the NDPS Act. He will be arrested as per rules and presented in court today. Police engaged in investigating the network: Police officials said that intensive investigation of the case is going on so that other people associated with this drug network can also be traced. He made it clear that this campaign against drugs will continue further and no one involved in it will be spared.
