Earlier, if the Panchayat head was elected unopposed, the Panchayat used to get Rs 10 lakh in cash, but now this amount has been increased to Rs 25 lakh. Pradhan’s reward money has been increased by 150 percent. Along with the Panchayat Pradhan, it is necessary for the Deputy Pradhan and Ward members to be elected unopposed. Only after this you will get this reward amount. Similarly, if a Panchayat Committee member (BDC) is elected unopposed, earlier he would get a reward of only Rs 5 lakh, but now he will get Rs 50 lakh. It has been increased by 900 percent. Each BDC ward consists of two to four panchayats. One crore reward for getting elected unopposed to Zilla Parishad: The reward amount for getting elected unopposed to a Zilla Parishad member has been increased to Rs 1 crore. Earlier this amount was Rs 15 lakh. This has been increased by 567 percent. The purpose of increasing the reward money is to promote the selection of public representatives without voting. Elections are to be held in 3758 Panchayats. Let us tell you that elections are to be held in 3758 Panchayats of the state before May 31. The State Election Commission will announce the election dates within a week. The government has already increased the amount received by Panchayats with unopposed elections.
