Indian long jumper Lokesh Satyanathan has won the gold medal in the NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association) Division-I Championships held in Arkansas, USA. With a jump of 8.21 metres, Lokesh not only broke his previous indoor national record (8.01 metres) but also became the fourth Indian player to win this title.

Lokesh had qualified for NCAA in the year 2025 by jumping 7.92.
Inspiration comes from KGF dialogues Lokesh, who is studying Health Sciences at Tarleton State University, Texas, credits his success to the blessings of his parents.
He remembers the scene in the film ‘KGF: Chapter 2’ in which the hero tells his mother, ‘This was your dream and now I will make it win.’ According to Lokesh, even today he gets goosebumps when he remembers his mother’s sacrifice and her words.
Had serious injuries on his face in the accident, still did not lose courage This success of Lokesh was not easy. Before going to America in the year 2022, he had a terrible accident in Bengaluru, in which he suffered serious injuries on his face. Despite injuries, pain and career ups and downs, he returned to the field with the strength of his father and faith of his mother.

Lokesh is the fourth Indian athlete to win the NCAA title.
Reached third place in all time list With this spectacular victory, Lokesh Satyanathan has now reached third place in the list of India’s all-time long jumpers. Ahead of him are now only established names like Jason Aldrin and Murali Sreeshankar.
