Shan Masood has been made the captain for the two-Test series on Bangladesh tour.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the 16-member squad for the two-match Test series against Bangladesh. Shan Masood will captain the team in this series starting from May 8 in Dhaka. Four uncapped players have been included in this squad. This series is part of the ICC World Test Championship (WTC).
Babar and Shaheen remain in the team
Four new players have got place in the team in the form of Abdullah Fazal, Amad Butt, Azaan Owais and Mohammad Ghazi Ghori. At the same time, experienced batsman Babar Azam, Shaheen Shah Afridi and wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan have also been included in the team.
Currently, players like Azaan Owais, Imam-ul-Haq and Sajid Khan are preparing at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) camp in Lahore.

Sarfaraz Ahmed became head coach
A major change has been made in the coaching staff for this tour. Former captain Sarfaraz Ahmed has been appointed as the head coach of the team. Under the captaincy of Sarfaraz, Pakistan won the Under-19 World Cup in 2006 and the Champions Trophy in 2017. Along with him, former cricketer Asad Shafiq has been given the responsibility of batting coach and Umar Gul has been given the responsibility of bowling coach.
Matches will be held in Dhaka and Sylhet
The first match of the series will be played from 8 to 12 May at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka. After this, the second Test will be held at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium from 16 to 20 May.
Training camp will be held in Karachi, team will leave on May 2
Before leaving for Bangladesh, the Pakistani team will participate in a training camp in Karachi from 27 April to 1 May. The players who are currently playing in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) will join this camp after the completion of their team’s journey. Players playing in the PSL final can directly reach Bangladesh. The team will fly to Dhaka on May 2.
